"Van Vicker"....(finally.)
I went to this premiere, a movie premiere for an African well-known actor named Van Vicker. Very talented. I was surprised at how close we could get to him! But the place wasn't as packed as I thought it would be. Although it was still really cool. We got the opportunity to ask him a question. "What do you like to do for fun?" lol. Well, he answered...(after like, 500 other peoples questions.) Turns out, he's a family guy. Likes hangin' out and such. These are some shots we took when we went, hence that is NOT my hand. And I took one with him, but the picture was way to blurry, and I just didn't like it. Believe it or not:) I was nervous and scared....He probably thought something was wrong with me, cause he asked me if I was ok. And the girl next to him in the picture of him sitting down, is an African model, Francine.....I gotta pic with her too:)))Gotta Autograph also....but i'm just too lazy to take a pic of that rigt now...maybe later:)

"From Swag....to Swagg....to Swagger."
This tittle might be a little awkward....but this whole blog is a little awkward.
Me and my little brother were talking about, how everyone likes to refer themselves to having swag. Like when you ask someone, why they do what they do, or why they might wear certain clothes, and they tell you cause it's all part of their swag.
Ok....I think....it's time to stop all that.
I've said it too myself, but sometimes we gotta separate swag from swagg (Which is actually swagger abbreviated.)
Now, a swag, is a bundle containing the personal belongings of a swag man. And a swag man, is a itinerant Australian laborer, who carries his personal belongings in a bundle as he travels around in search of work. And that, I got right out of searching through the dictionary of my itouch.
Bet no one out there really thought that every time they said the word swag, they were speaking in those terms.
I know a lot of people might read this and be like, "yo...who does that??". Well idk. After hearing it so many times, I just thought of doing it. So....I just did.
Now swagg on the other hand is what we really mean, when we say swag. But because we don't usually say "swagg with 2 g's", no one really hears for the difference. That's why when we wanna say swagg, we should really say swagger. Cause that's the whole word, and that's what we actually wanna say.
Just a short lesson I guess. And yes....even if no one says so....there is a difference.

"The Secret"
So today, I got up and really didn't know what I was gonna do all day. Although I eventually figured it out on my own.
I remember walking in the kitchen, to find my mom working on some clothes or something like that. And I asked her, "What if someone broke into our house one of these days...? What would you do??" (Cause we live in a neighborhood where it's believed that it's so great, nothing can ever happen like that.) And she just looked at me like I was crazy, and asked me why would I even utter something that negative. Then she told me to watch this movie called The Secret.
I watched it....And I loved it.
Everything in the movie was so logical, it was too good to be true. In The Secret, it's believed that negative thoughts, will bring up negative things. That your mind controls everything around you, and that everything you want will come to you if you actually train your mind to believe that you already have it. Like if you have a friend or a boyfriend or something that never calls you. Instead of focusing on how much he doesn't call you, think as if he calls you all the time. Because thinking about how he doesn't call you, only generates negative thoughts, that lead to negative outcomes, Which means the more you think of how it isn't happening, the more it won't.
Weird...I know.
But it all makes perfect sense. The universe is like a genie. You control the wishes, and unlike Aladdin, there are no limits. You need to be happy in yourself before any of this can work though. And I know people that read this may be like, "Well, I can't be happy all the time."
And your right, that's life.
But thinking like that, is also all part of having the negative thoughts. Thinking that you are happy all the time, will make you happy all the time. Thinking that this process doesn't work, will make it indeed, not work. But setting your feelings to a good outcome, will give you everything you want. And if you start to feel sad, think of all the things you have to be thankful for. Perhaps a house, Kids, your Job, your life. And you'll also start seeing the true meaning of happiness. No bullshit.
For example: Let's say you want a pair of new shoes. You don't know how your gonna get them, but you know you will. If you always think like, "These shoes are just way to expensive. I'll never have enough to get these." Granted, you won't. Because your thinking has told the universe that since she thinks she won't get the shoes, then I won't give them to her. Because she doesn't expect to ever get them. But if you think like "wow, these shoes are nice. I already have them:)" Granted, the universe will give them to you. Bet.
Still don't believe me??
OK: Like when you check your mail everyday after work. Every time you expect to see a bill, that's exactly what you see every time. But have you ever thought about for once Not expecting the bill?? Instead of expecting a bill, expect a check. Expect it to the point where you can already see yourself with it. And believe it or not, once you start having those thoughts, your mind will send messages out to the universe. And at that very moment, you've already began to evolve your life into a path to get this check without even knowing it. It's the truth.
The greatest, richest, smartest men on earth, made it because of this theory. With no school or anything. Just a dream.
The theory is strange....I know. But it taught me a lot. A lot about life, and how success doesn't always revolve around money, or school (not to say that it's a bad thing). That sometimes you have to make a way when theres no way. And even thinking that there's a way, can bring it about. People may say that it's crazy. But again, those are the negative thoughts, and the more you think them, the more they will come true. I try now to think positive, about the images I see, and the things I'm told everyday. That if I want to be a millionaire, I can be if I think about it as if that's what I already am.
Watching the movie, I remember this man, talking about how he had these boards. These things he called vision boards. Where he would cut things out that he wanted and he'd put them on there, so he wouldn't forget about them. The man Gets just a little older. And he's moving, and packs everything he has, including his vision boards. He buys a house. And after living in it for a while, one day his son walks up to him and says "Daddy, what's in that box?". It was a box he never opened when he came to his new house. He said he didn't know. So then he opened it. And to his surprise he saw that it was his vision boards from way back. And at the top of the first board was a picture he had cut out, of a huge luxurious house. And the man started to cry. And his son asked, "Daddy, why are you crying??" And he says, "Because son.....this is our house."
From the day he started to think about the house as if he already had it, The universe was already re-arranging itself to give it to him. And he didn't even know it. His positive thoughts, brought about his positive outcomes. And I bet you if he had seen that house the day he cut it out, and said "I could never afford this.", It would have never been his today.
To get up a flight of steps, you don't need to see the whole staircase. You just need to see the first step. -Martin Luther King Junior.
